On June 17, 2025, a delegation of five members from Malaysia, including Zhang Kai, President of Higher Education Council of Malaysian Education Exchange Association, and Ravindran Ponusamy, Dean of the Graduate School of Alpha University College, visited Wenshan University. The visit aimed to deepen discussions on collaborative projects such as joint master's programs and youth cultural exchanges.

      During the morning inter-university cooperation meeting, Yang Ruhua, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Wenshan            University, warmly welcomed the delegation and introduced the university's distinctive features, disciplinary development, and international collaboration initiatives. Zhang Kai provided an overview of the current state of higher education in Malaysia, while Ravindran Ponusamy shared the strengths and international cooperation experiences of Alpha University. Both parties explored potential collaborations in areas such as joint research platforms, faculty and student exchanges, and academic resource sharing, reaching preliminary agreements. Representatives from relevant departments and schools of Wenshan University attended the meeting.

In the afternoon, a study-in-Malaysia information session was held, where Zhang Kai introduced the study environment and policies in Malaysia to student representatives. Ravindran Ponusamy highlighted the master's and doctoral programs available for international students at Alpha University. The session provided valuable information for students planning to study abroad, offering policy insights and answering their questions. Ninety undergraduate student representatives from various majors attended the session.

During their visit, the Malaysian delegation also toured Wenshan University's Sanqi Technology Innovation Base, the Graduate Exhibition of the School of Fine Arts and Design, and the Ethnic Culture Heritage Center. The delegation members spoke highly of the university's achievements in Sanqi technology innovation, artistic design, and the preservation of ethnic culture.
