On the morning of December 20, 2025, the opening ceremony of the Vietnam Thanh Do University 2025 Winter themed study tour— Learning Chinese, Experiencing China—was grandly held at Wenshan University. As the first collaborative project following the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the two universities in September this year, this study tour marks the transition of their educational exchange and cooperation from consensus to implementation, officially ushering in a new phase of joint talent cultivation between Chinese and Vietnamese universities.

Vice President Tang Long of Wenshan University attended and delivered a speech at the opening ceremony. He warmly welcomed the delegation from Vietnam Thanh Do University and provided a detailed introduction to the custom-designed features of this study program. He encouraged students to enhance their practical Chinese language skills, deeply appreciate the unique charm of Chinese culture, bridge hearts through language communication, build mutual understanding and trust through cultural exchange, gain a comprehensive understanding of China through site visits, and fully experience the joy and personal growth opportunities of studying abroad in China.

The delegation, led by Ngô Thị Ánh Tuyết, Director of the International Training Center at Vietnam Thanh Do University, included 11 academic leaders, faculty representatives, and 11 student representatives. To ensure the effectiveness of the program, Wenshan University designed a curriculum composed of three core components: Language Skills Classes, Practical Experience Classes, and On-site Instruction Classes. These courses cover various aspects, including Chinese language and culture, application of professional knowledge, and field research and practice. The program is both educational and hands-on. In addition, the university has also assigned a dedicated advisor, carefully selected learning and l iving assistants, and professional learning partners, all of whom will ensure students’ academic and living needs are fully met, helping them quickly integrate and benefit from the experience.

During the visit, a special exchange program was also arranged for the academic leaders of Vietnam Thanh Do University. Accompanied throughout by officials from Wenshan University’s Office of International Cooperation and Exchange and other administrative and departmental heads, the delegation visited key facilities such as the university library, Journalism Training Center, Intelligent Manufacturing Training Center, Notoginseng Science and Innovation Demonstration Basement, and Jing Dong Training Center. Through on-site visits and direct exchanges, the delegation gained deep insights into Wenshan University’s educational philosophy, infrastructure, training models, and disciplinary strengths. This laid a solid foundation for deepening cooperation at the departmental level and launching more practical collaborative projects in the future.

Looking ahead, Wenshan University will continue to uphold the principle of openness and cooperation, actively expanding its partnerships with Vietnamese institutions. Through diversified initiatives such as faculty and student exchanges, joint training programs, study tours, and research cooperation, the university aims to further promote regional educational exchange and cooperation, strengthen people-to-people connectivity between China and Vietnam, and inject sustained momentum into the building of a China-Vietnam educational community.
