Ⅰ.University Profile

    Wenshan University is a full-time public undergraduate institution located in Wenshan City, Yunnan Province, China, a region renowned for its stunning natural landscapes and  rich ethnic cultures. Bordering Vietnam’s Tuyen Quang Province to the south and the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region to the north and east, the university is recognized as a “Demonstration University for Applied Undergraduate Talent Training” in Yunnan Province. The current campus covers an area of over 50 hectares and hosts more than 16,000 full- time students and nearly 800 faculty and staff members. It comprises 9 teaching schools and offers 44 undergraduate and specialized programs across 10 academic disciplines:  Science, Engineering, Agriculture, Literature, Education, Art, History, Law, Management, and Medicine.

II. Campus Environment and Facilities

    Wenshan University boasts a beautiful campus with a mild climate and flowers blooming throughout the year. The university is equipped with modern facilities, including a well- appointed gymnasium, sports grounds, and a concert hall, ensuring a vibrant cultural and sports life for international students. Student dormitories, typically accommodating 4 to 6  students per room, are equipped with internet access, private bathrooms, and hot water shower facilities.The campus features several student canteens, a supermarket, tea and coffee shops, parcel service stations, and a clinic, providing convenient access to all essential daily services.Conveniently located in Wenshan City, the university offers easy access to  transportation and a wide range of nearby amenities.

III. Programs Offered

Short-term Chinese Language Program

Major: Short-term Chinese Language

Duration:1 Semester

Start Date: Spring Semester 2026

Teaching Format: Specialized classes designed for international students.

Chinese Proficiency Requirement: No prior Chinese proficiency required

Core Courses: Comprehensive Chinese, Chinese Speaking, Chinese Listening, Chinese Characters, HSK Preparation, etc.

Enrollment Quota: 30 students per intake

IV. Fees

1.Tuition Fee:3,400 RMB per semester

2.Accommodation Fee:400 RMB per semester

3. Other Related Fees: (Subject to the actual costs)

Residence Permit Fee: 400 RMB per half-year

Health Check-up Fee: Approximately 300 RMB per time

Insurance Premium: Approximately 300 RMB per half-year

V. Basic Application Requirements

1.Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens holding a valid foreign passport.

2. Applicants must be in good physical and mental health, meet the requirements of the Health Examination Standards for International Students in China.

3. Applicants must demonstrate good moral character, have no criminal record, comply with the laws and regulations of the People’s Republic of China, adhere to the rules, regulations, and discipline of Wenshan University, and respect Chinese social ethics and customs.

4. Applicants must have graduated from high school or possess an equivalent qualification.

5. Applicants should, in principle, be between 18 and 25 years old.

6. Applicants should have an excellent academic record. Chinese proficiency requirements vary according to the specific program applied for.

• Non-criminal Record Certificate

• Foreigner Physical Examination Form

• Family Bank Statement

*All the above documents must be in either Chinese or English, or accompanied by a certified translation in one of these languages.

VII. Admission

    Admission to Wenshan University is competitive. The University conducts a comprehensive evaluation of applicants based on submitted application materials, high school  academic performance, language proficiency, and entrance examination results (if applicable). Applicants must provide accurate and valid contact information to ensure timely   notification regarding any entrance examination arrangements.
